A recent visit to DC reminded me what an absolute gem our nation's capital is. One forgets that the National Mall and numerous other historic sites are run and managed by the National Park Service. The NPS website offers plenty of information on some of our richest icons. For more general Washington DC travel and tourist information check out the vast Washington DC Tourism and Convention Bureau. Always so much going on...
